After a local school board determined that children will no longer need to spend hours of time away from school completing several assignments daily. Many of the teachers have argued that with new technology incorporated into the classroom they are able to go through several more assignments daily and plenty of material they can access if they choose to improve on through new apps the students can download. For many of the students that can pay attention during classroom times and grasp the material it has given many of them a lot of additional free time when they get home.

Many parents have pushed back on the local schools in some of the more recent parent-teacher conferences trying to explain to the teachers that "they had to work hard to do the minimal work needed to get their High School Diploma and the children should have to go through the same misery that they did. Why should the children have an easier life than they did?" said one parent. Another parent told us "if the students don't have homework to do then they would have to actually parent the children rather than send them to their room for hours to do work". When we followed up with an underpaid teacher to get answers to some of the parents concerns we were told "The parents we have to deal with are terrible and so are their children" as they walked away and didn't take any further questions.
